Elín started enjoying photography at a very young age. Her father, a forensic photographer, saw her talent early on and began teaching her photography. As a young woman Elín moved to Norway and continued her education until the calling of her work pulled her further on. She has spent most of her life outside her beloved Iceland, in Norway, Spain, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and finally United States of America.

Living, studying and working in these different cultures has affected her artistic approach to the profession of photography.

Elín moved to New England in 1998 and shortly thereafter fulfilled her life long dream and established "elín photography". Since then she has become a highly sought-after photographer and has, amongst other things, decorated a number of cover pages of commercial magazines.

Her work with weddings and portraits is outstanding and she creates the most unique, must see, albums that are all custom made and designed uniquely each and every time.

Her style and approach to the art of photography has often been described as a perfect mix of real, relaxed and glamorous.
